Common problems
My AI app says it can't reach Gadwal.
Gadwal must be running with Settings › AI & MCP › MCP server turned on. If you changed the port, set the AI app up again from the Connect AI list so it gets the new address.
My AI app gets 'unauthorized' after I made a new token.
Each AI app keeps a copy of its token. After you make a new one, run that app's Install or Copy action in Settings › AI & MCP again.
Can ChatGPT.com or Claude.ai on the web use Gadwal?
No. Web connectors run in the cloud and can't reach a server on your Mac. Use Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or Codex instead.
Gadwal can't open a database file or SSH key.
Gadwal is sandboxed by Apple, so it can only open files you pick in an Open panel. Pick the file again from the connection's settings.
A local Postgres server works in other apps but not in Gadwal.
The sandbox blocks Unix sockets. Connect to 127.0.0.1 on port 5432 instead of the socket path.
How do I restore my purchase on a new Mac?
Open the unlock sheet and choose Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account.
